Paris Hilton released without bail on drug charge

In television she was on the series The Simple Life alongside fellow socialite and childhood best friend Nicole Richie. She is also known for her 2004 tongue-in-cheek autobiography, several film roles, most notably her role in the horror film House of Wax in 2005, and her 2006 music album – Paris.  She also has a background in modeling.

Earlier in 2010 Hilton participated in an advertising campaign for the launch of the Brazilian beer Devassa. As part of the campaign, Hilton will also join the carnival of Rio de Janeiro in the cabin of the brewery.

On August 28, 2010 Hilton was arrested on suspicion of cocaine possession in Las Vegas.  Suspicion is all it apparently was, so she was released without bail on a drug charge the same night she was questioned at the police station.
