Head to Head Challenge: Hanson vs Adam Lambert (07.11.10 – 07.17.10)
In one of the hardest fought Head to Head battles to date and a record number of votes (over 176,000 cast) HANSON was able to take down our previously 10-time undefeated champion Jason Castro. A huge congratulations to Jason Castro and his fans and we look forward to welcoming Jason Castro back tot he challenge with his next single!!

I really don’t think it should be about whose fans are the most loyal and devoted. I think it’s safe to say both sides have equally loyal and devoted fans.

Adam Lambert all the way! Adam has inspired me to be a better person. Adam thought me to accept people as they are embrace other peoples differences. Adam is the most talented person to ever come out of AI. I love Adam’s music. There is nothing scary about the Glamberts. We love Adam and were are devoted fans that’s all. We don’t go around attacking others but will come to Adam defense when he’s under attack and that’s all the time. Peace and love to all.

It’s actually REALLY inspiring!

Seems to me, the ONLY thing you may be “scared” about are enthusiastic fans of a musical artist with ACTUAL TALENT! …or maybe it”s the “actual talent” part that boggles your mind. Oh well…

So glad the link for this contest flew by twitter, I’ll have to check out more of Hanson’s recent stuff! LOL the last Hanson song I was obsessed with was actually a Christmas one years ago that my Mom had on a mix holiday CD my brother made for her, called At Christmas. SO SO SO pretty, it always made me little teary.
Altho of course no one can replace Adam in my heart, he’s so fun to be a fan of, always giving goofy hilarious interviews and being a sweetheart, then getting up on stage and dayum his voice just blows me away! I love when he sings If I Had You on tour as the show closer, he gives each of his band members and dancers a solo moment to shine. Luv him!

Just not fair! I love BOTH but anyone who knows me knows my heart and support will always go to Adam regardless of who he’s up against. He’s amazing..his time has come. Hanson and the Hanson fans..you ROCK and I have love for the brothers. No one “looses” in this poll.
I’d like to know what is wrong with the vote counts? I voted 10 times for Adam, and the totals went down instead of up. When I started there were 2537 votes for Adam, and when I finished there were

I really wish some of the hanson fans who are being rude would quit it. I love hanson to death and want them to win again. But why do we need to bash the challenger? I mean my opinion is hanson’s fans are more dedicated when it comes to voting, because of all the polls we’ve won. But I don’t mean us fans are the best. Every band’s fans think their band is the best and their fans are the bomb. I mean there are music artists who don’t have talent, but to result to bashing is like 12 year old’s fighting.
Us hanson fans always want hanson to get new fans, but being rude is not gonna make the challenger’s fans want to even give hanson a chance. Which this all looks bad for hanson too. Most of hanson’s fans are in our 20′s-30′s, we’re not 11 year olds anymore.

I’m sorry, I just couldn’t get through the Adam video. Wow. Sounds like everything else on the radio today. I think the flashing lights and over the top constumes were an attempted distraction for the bad music (or dare I say lack of talent). Oh, and was the video supposed to skip at random points?
Adam isn’t an Idol wannabe. He didn’t care if he won, he just wanted the exposure and opportunity, which he got. Adam’s fans are glad Kris won too. Adam is running his own career now, and is an international star. That’s good enough for us.
I’ve always admired the Hanson fans. Most of you are kind and enthusiastic, and I’ve learned that many of you try to promote the humanistic efforts that Hanson encourages. That’s awesome! Adam is also big on charitable acts; his pet charity is Donors Choose, an organization that helps underprivileged schools keep their fine arts programs.
Both artists are admirable and talented. Honestly, when you come right down to it, this is friendly competition but it doesn’t mean a thing as far as their careers go. Winning or losing this poll isn’t going to change a thing for either of them.
I voted for Adam all the way. I know who he is as a human being and super tallented entertainer, but I have no idea who the heck the Hansons are. I personally have never heard of them. Therefore, I will make no judgements about them or their fans.

Lololol, I used to be a hardcore Hanson fan. Actually, I’m going to their show in August! I just bought their new album too. I used to think that Taylor had the best male voice ever.
But ever since I discovered Adam last year, I realized that I was kind of crazy. I still love Hanson and love Taylor’s voice, but I saw Adam in concert, and DUDEEEE. Amazing. Anyway, I’m glad that Hanson are kind of making a comeback with this new video…but let’s face it. They will probably never be played on the radio again.

I don’t keep track of American Idol anymore, so I’m not familiar with Adam Lambert’s music (or Jason Castro’s). I’ve been a Hanson fan for 13 years and counting, and will vote for them this round as well. However, if they ever put Hanson and Queen in a head-to-head, I’d have to vote for Queen, lol. Altho the Hanson video is cute & enjoyable, I am an avid & forever fan of Adam Lambert so I gotta vote for Adam! He has mad, wicked vocal skills, not only in the studio w/o auto tune but especially in his live performances!
Both of these videos are awesome, especially since they are like old school videos with a real concept and creativity! “If I Had You” is a great, catchy song and the video is great. Adam’s an awesome entertainer. “Thinking ‘Bout Something’”, though, there’s just something so irresistible about it. The song is so catchy (and the 60s/70s music references are awesome) plus a horn section (!!) and I love that the video is such a genuine throwback to the Blues Brothers. It looks like it was so much fun to film and that fun comes right through the computer screen. So that gets my vote! Love Adam too, though!
Okay how can you compare adam lambert and hanson? I Love both of them but they’re NOTHING alike. I love Hanson and I grew up on their music, but adam is legendary, no matter what people think. I LOVE him and I voted for him.

Considering the fact that they’ve done a few radio interviews in the past couple of months and performed live during them I think that you were proved wrong on that. Who the hell are the Hansons- are they a T.V comic show ? LondonBob: No, Hanson are most definitely not a TV comic show. They are a brilliant indie band, and they had a top ten hit in your country a few years ago. Remember “Penny and Me”? That was 2003 or 2004; probably you were just a wee little laddie then and didn’t listen to pop music yet. They had a HUGE hit called “MMMBop” in 1997, but I guess that was probably before you were born. Ask your mum; she’ll remember.

Beauty – what does any of that prove? Hanson sold out 5 nights in NYC! 5! in a row! They right, play, sing, and produce their own music. They have their own record company, have been making music for 18 years! They have a very loyal fanbase, and they’re amazing to see live. All of that does not make Adam talentless. Why does the reverse work in your little world? If Glamberts want Fansons to be polite and nice, they should return the favor.
I like Adam’s songs, well some of them, and his style, but Hanson as musicians have him beat hands down.
And to the person who is saying they liked Hanson when they were 13.. Well they were 13 back then too. And now they’re in their 20s, and so are their fans. To say we should grow up is ridiculious. We’re mothers, wives, and professionals. I myself, am halfway down with my Graduate Degree. I’m not 13 anymore, and neither is the rest of the fanbase. Hanson didn’t stop aging in 1997, and neither did their fans.
Hanson are now in their 20s. They have wives, and kids. 7 to be exact between the three of them and another due at the end of this year. We’ve grown up. It’s just sad to see that non-Hanson fans are still judging them by what they did when they were kids, instead of seeing them for the mature, GROWN-UP artists they’ve become. Shame on you.

Why does everyone seem to think that just because you don’t enjoy someone’s music there is a need to put them down and call them talentless and whatever else?!
MUSIC IS ART. Art is something that comes from inside the artists, their thoughts and feelings represented on what used to be a blank canvas. Art is interpreted differently by each person who views it – some will enjoy it because they can relate to the message the artist is putting out there, other people may not relate and will therefor not feel a connection to that particular piece.
A bit of fighting talk can all be in good fun, but let’s not give people a bad impression about our idols by putting other artists and their fans down. Both Hanson and Lambert seem really inclusive and willing to accept everyone else, so let’s take a page out of their book and play nice.
