The big question during the first board room interrogation was, what happened to the women’s big donors and big tips? Cyndi said she didn’t have any rich friends. Sharon said she couldn’t get a hold of a lot of her rich friends. Holly said she only did OK with getting her rich friends to stop by.
Holly then turned the conversation toward all of the “money,” meaning people, that were left on the street because they couldn’t get people to leave quick enough. She said she had gone to some of the women in the restaurant and told them to start moving people and to go outside and get the big donors inside, but not one person listened. Donald Trump, Jr. brought up that it was supposed to be Carol’s job to be outside getting the right people inside. You could tell that Holly wanted to agree with him but didn’t want to make waves.

Ivanka Trump felt that the price point was too low. Cyndi had no problem stepping up to admit that she decided the price point and believed it was not a mistake. Donald Trump didn’t agree.
Donald Trump really had to push the women, but he did finally get Holly and Maria and Sharon to admit that Carol should be fired. Holly was the only one who really had a reason, and her reason was just that Carol wasn’t doing the right thing at the right time. After that, everyone started to say that Carol should go. Carol defended herself by saying that the team will need her creative talents and her New York City connections later on. Unfortunately, though, she hadn’t used those connections because she was not one of the top four tip raisers, according to Donald Jr.
Welcome to the board room
Donald Trump began the first trip to the board room by asking each of the teams how they felt their first task went and how their team was working together.
Cyndi was over the moon about how great her team had done and how wonderful they had worked together. She was really impressed and appreciative of everyone’s work. Selita added that Cyndi had done a great job as the project manager by hosting, serving and singing. The team felt that everyone had contributed equally to sales and getting big donors in the door, although Donald Jr. was quick to point out that maybe not everyone, mainly Carol it sounded like, had friends with deep pockets visit.

Bret felt, if anyone, he was the weakest link. He thought his team did an amazing job, as well. Rod said that Darryl had definitely brought in the most money when it came to big donors, but he also mentioned that several other men had friends visiting. Rod was also happy to say that Bret was a surprisingly incredible project manager who delegated well.

Rod was sort of bumrushed in the board room when it was brought up that Joan Rivers, who visited on behalf of Donald Trump, was served a cold burger. Curtis was confused because he said he had served the burger hot, but Donald Trump quickly brought up that Rod, the server, had been off chatting up customers about his innocence and had maybe left Joan’s food under the heater too long. He said he didn’t recall that happening, but he also looked very nervous while saying it.
Next episode (Sunday, March 21, 2010): The teams battle with a Kodak task; The men start to get annoyed with Bret’s relaxed attitude; Holly takes issue with Cyndi’s constant questions
