I commend the Kim Caldwell fans for a good battle! There was definate 'weirdness' going on...but following the dreadheads thread there WAS a lot of fans voting for Jason from many countries! and all received "cooling off periods" from polldaddy that would last hours! tres aggravating! on both sides. It was a close battle but Dreadheads (and the other Jason fanbases) Do NOT give up ever! The tighter the competition the more of us come out of the woodwork. This was the tightest yet, and for that I commend Kim's fanbase.

I have even seen these 'spurts' of a few k votes occur in a matter of 10-15 mins, on both sides. That's just not possible. But what bothers me the most, was the inability for most KC fans to vote for the last 24 hours (from the time she was up 4k votes til the end). Even after a cool-off period of 6-7 hours, it still would not register the votes. I'm sure the numbers shown could not be trusted during the contest. Maybe the numbers shown now are correct. But there are far too many oddities and such and problems that arose during the contest to truly make it legit in my eyes. I still think there must've been something like a glitch in the system several times over the course of this contest, on both sides

Hopefully everyone is still keeping this respectful. I think many of the fans are fans of both artists, but probably have one they prefer. As far as Jason having more/less fans - I think the example of twitter shows that Jason has more fans that are on twitter - and therefore maybe more computer driven.
I have no knowledge of anyone using some uber-voting tool - but I must admit that a group of us fans do communicate online and we come vote in a block - so the numbers can go up pretty quickly when many fans are voting. I guess I'm more tolerant because Jason is winning - but again, hopefully no hard feelings. The KC fans showed great dedication in this poll - as a matter of fact I think I'll head back right now to make sure I get another vote in - never know how those vote counts can jump!

I brought up the voting discrepancies days ago and was assured that all was legit. When some say it is unbelievable that Jason receives thousands of votes in one day, I will compare that with the thousands I see Kim has gotten overnight when I go to vote in the mornings. Maybe Kim just has more West Coast voters and they vote at night. She is a worthy opponent to be sure. And, Jason was not on Twitter until mid last year, not while on Idol.

I agree, Suzanna...And the way things JUMP IN SPURTS...it's always a shock to the system...either GOOD or BAD. One moment one side is extremely frustrated after all the hard work they've put in, and the other side is all excited. And then everything flips upside down, again, overnight, or even in a matter of hours, and both sides are caught sitting there in shock again! It has been an unpredictable roller coaster ride of emotions for everyone, and I know that I am exhausted as I'm sure many others are as well. It has been a long, hard, grueling contest and because of all the craziness, many of us are left wondering if we can actually trust the numbers we see before us. What if they're NOT ACCURATE and we let our guard down or give in too soon? How do we really know what the FINAL count will be, until the poll is actually closed? Maybe there IS something wrong with the tally system because of the quantity of votes. IT HAS BEEN A VERY STRANGE WEEK...just sayin

Sometimes, I am wondering if we have overwhelmed this system with so many votes. Huge gains, then some being blocked and I have also had the same thing happen when I try to vote at times.

Been trying to vote once an hour all day and it keeps saying "thank you, we have already counted your vote" which means I apparently also voted less than hour before. It claimed this too this morning when I woke up. So this really sucks, I thought it just said you can vote no more than once an hour. How come now I'm not allowed to vote more than once per what? 15 hours?

Whoa! This is messed up. I cast a vote and my pick went down by one and the other went up by more than fifty. Not worth my time.
